HKCA President’s Message
Dear Members and Friends,
I am deeply honored and incredibly humbled at having been elected to serve as President of the Hong Kong Chefs Association. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you all for your friendship and support.
This is an exciting time to be a chef, but not without its challenges. The most immediate challenge to our profession globally is the unprecedented difficulty in recruiting and retaining qualified culinary staff. If we do not come together to face this challenge head-on, our very profession may be at stake.
During the Annual General Meeting on April 15th, a new executive committee was elected with the idea that a mentorship program for future culinarians could help us better understand the nature of the problem and lead the way in making a difference.
We remain committed to serving and representing our profession - locally, regionally and globally to the best of our ability. If you have any suggestions or advice on how we can do better, you are always welcome to contact myself or the Committee.
